1. Where am I (physically + mentally)?

Last night away from home this week. whoop! just back in the hotel room from a nice meal with the team. local steak restaurant. glad to see the back of this week, it hasn’t flowed very well, lots of waiting around. feeling hopeful that next week will be better.

2. What am I striving toward, and how’s that going?

Day 17 of keto, still going strong. Electrolytes have really improved how I feel. More energy and I trained well this evening (20 min run/walk and push day.)

A major thing I am striving towards, that has been in the pipeline since around December last year, is downsizing our house and mortgage. The market is pretty tough, we are on the third estate agents. The reason behind the sale is to scale back our outgoings and strengthen the financial position, freeing up money for investments and pensions etc. interest seems to have picked up of late with multiple viewings happening this weekend. fingers crossed!

3. What’s working and what’s not?

working = Soda water with Ice and a slice of Lemon instead of Whisky soda with dinner.

Not working = went too heavy too soon at the gym. my shoulder was not very happy with me afterwards. narrowly avoided an injury. must remember to ease myself back in. meme below is a good reminder…slow and steady!

4. What challenged me today (and how did I respond)?

The client wasn’t ready for us again today so we couldn’t progress with what we needed to do. And I think the penny finally dropped that they need to inform their customer that the deadline wasn’t going to be met. The frustration has been building all week and had to resist the urge to say “I told you this weeks ago”

instead we helped amend the project timeline to what we thought was realistic and left site. turned frustration into an opportunity for driving range before lunch and some downtime.

5. What did I learn or notice today?

Don’t stress about things that are outside of your control (old but good)

6. What am I grateful for right now?

That I’m going home tomorrow. 🙂

7. What’s one thing I can do tomorrow to move forward?

Train in the very underused home gym. keep the momentum that I have built this week. Leg day.
